About Us

My photo
Teresa and Marcus
We are finally living our dream of being small-scale farmers! We are building a diverse farm using the best of permaculture and regenerative agriculture principles. Right now we are in the process of planting silvopasture lanes of fruit and nut trees interspersed with pasture. Cows, sheep, pigs and chickens will sequentially or co-graze on these pastures. Their actions and inputs will build soil and restore depleted fertility in a natural manner. A multi-species model will help replace much of the off-farm inputs as manures and products feed each other as well as the soil. We feed organic feed and use no sprays. A large no-dig, no-spray, market garden is in the works. Farming in this way provides us and the local community delicious, healthful food, increases biodiversity and wild creature habitat while sequestering carbon and reducing petroleum based inputs. Soon we hope to have pastured meat birds available as well as pastured, grass-fed beef, pork and lamb. In the meantime, contact us to buy organic fed, pastured and free range eggs. We also have La Bresse chicks and hatching eggs available. Thank you for supporting us in our efforts to farm ethically and sustainably!
